Copiain Controparte, prima metà XVI Secolo. Incisione a Bulino e Acquaforte,115 x 73 mm. Esemplare rifilato al filetto di riquadro, applicato su carta antica. Questa copia dalla celebre incisione di Dürer (1471-1528), di buona qualità grafica, non è descritta da Strauss, The Illustrated Bartsch, 10, Commentary, 1981, p. 45, n.013, B.13.Rientrato dal secondo viaggio in Italia, effettuato per approfondire i suoi studi relativi alla prospettiva e alle proporzioni umane, Dürer realizzò anche le splendide sedicilastredellaPiccola Passione su rame(1507-1512), che si caratterizza per un nuovo stile dove la finezza e l'uso sistematico delle linee incise modella le forme in termini di luce e ombra. Nelle tavole su rame sono poche le aree non lavorate rispetto allaGrande Passionein xilografia e un intenso effetto chiaroscurale pervade le scene con una luce quasi spirituale. LaPiccola Passionesi basa su una serie di disegni su carta, datata 1504, eseguiti a inchiostro e biacca, conservati all'Albertina.

This copy from the famous engraving by Dürer (1471-1528), of good graphic quality, is not described by Strauss, The Illustrated Bartsch, 10, Commentary, 1981, p. 45, no. 013, B.13. Returning from his second trip to Italy, made to further his studies relating to perspective and human proportions, Dürer also produced the splendid sixteen plates of the Small Passion on copper (1507-1512), which is characterized by a new style in which finesse and systematic use of engraved lines shapes forms in terms of light and shadow. There are few unworked areas in the copperplates compared to the Large Passion in woodcut, and an intense chiaroscuro effect pervades the scene with an almost spiritual light. The Small Passion is based on a series of drawings on paper, dated 1504, executed in ink and white lead, preserved in the Albertina.
